The Turret proved to be a special challenge since it's so spindly and transforms in ways that leave no room for internal mechanisms. I had access to some behind the scenes assets, but they weren't nearly as helpful as you'd think - carefully examining screen-captures is best. When I made this my company, ThinkGeek, was working with Valve to develop a number of licensed products and toys related to the two Portal videogames, so I was already taking a close look at how to recreate these virtual objects in the real world, just not at such an ambitious scale. It turned into a far more involved project than I expected, so be warned: this project is not for the faint of heart. gdegrefte wrote a comment on várhafsóll.This instructable is a walk-through of how I made my life-sized Turret from the videogame Portal.kelvinA has added a new log for SecSavr Suspense.Andy Geppert liked Magnetic Core Memory The Dr Cockroach Way.Michael Gardi has added a new log for OSI Challenger 4P Reproduction.Dusan Petrovic liked DIY 4 Axis Motion Controller Budget Friendly.Dusan Petrovic has added DIY 4 Axis Motion Controller Budget Friendly to Featured Projects.Dusan Petrovic has added várhafsóll to Featured Projects.Christoph has added a new log for Effect of moon phase on tombstoning.Christoph has updated details to Effect of moon phase on tombstoning.smellsofbikes on CNC Feeds And Speeds, Explained As A First-Timer.HammerJack on NASA’s Voyager Space Probe’s Reserve Power, And The Intricacies Of RTG-Based Power Systems.on The 8-Bit Guy Builds A 16-Bit Computer.Dan on CNC Feeds And Speeds, Explained As A First-Timer. ![]() ![]()
